It’s that time again! Time to talk to your classmates, friends, cousins and brothers about all the fun you’ve been having with Pack 909!

Here’s the plan: The 2nd Annual Pack 909 Cub Scout Recruiting Round-up will run now through September 30th 2010. The purpose of this event is to sign-up new boys to join Cub Scouts and Pack 909! Our goal this year is to recruit a minimum of 25 new boys into Cub Scouting with Pack 909 including 10 new rising 1st graders for this year’s Tiger Den, 10 rising 2nd graders to add to this year’s Wolf Den and 5 boys from 3rd – 5th grades for the other dens.

Here are the prizes: For each new boy recruited, the Cub will receive:

  • One prize ticket which entitles him to draw a grab bag, filled with mystery prizes, from the Recruiters box AND
  • One entry ticket into the prize drawing to win one of two gift cards from Dick’s Sporting Goods. The gift card values will be determined by the total number of new recruits, not to exceed a total combined value of $150. For each new boy that joins Pack 909 during the recruiting period, $10 will be added to card #1 (maximum value of $100) and $5 to card #2 (maximum value of $50).

Here are the rules:

  1. The Recruiting Round-up is for the Cub Scouts of Pack 909 only.
  2. No sharing! Only one Cub can recruit a new boy.
    1. In order for a Pack 909 Cub Scout to be eligible to receive a prize, the new boy recruited must be:
      1. New to Cub Scouts or
      2. Have not been active in Cubs for at least one full charter year OR
      3. Recently moved to the area and hasn’t selected a unit yet Note: If you have friends in other units that are interested in transferring to Pack 909, they are more than welcome but will not be considered new recruits for the Recruiting Round-up.
  3. A boy is ‘recruited’ when he has completed the BSA Cub Scout Application, Pack 909 Application and has paid both BSA and Pack membership dues.
  4. New boys recruited at School Scout Night events cannot be counted unless his parent says he was referred to the event by one of our Cub Scouts.
  5. Leaders are not eligible for the prizes.
  6. Prize and entry tickets will be awarded at the Sept 14th Scout Round-up Meeting and the October Pack Meeting. Recruiting Cubs must be present, with their new recruit, to receive their prize and entry tickets. Cubs can use their Grab Bag ticket at the Sept 14th meeting or the October meetings. The actual drawings gift cards will be held at the October meeting.

Get out there and talk to your buddies! Tell them about all the cool things we do and all the fun you have with Pack 909! Bring them to a Pack Meeting! Direct them to our website for more information and sign-up forms the Join Pack 909 Page.
