Location of Campsite:

The area designated for Group Camping is located in the Yadkin River Section of Pilot Mountain State Park.  This area is located in the Shoals Community - Approximately 12 Driving Miles from the Pilot Mountain Section of the Park. 

Directions:  

Exit US Hwy 52 North at Pinnacle.  Follow signs for the 'Horne Creek Living Historical Farm' (Large Brown Signs with Crème Letters).  The River Section Entrance is Located about .4 Miles past the entrance to the Horne Creek Living Historical Farm.   You must ford a small shallow creek three times enroute to the campsites down a dirt road.   Campsites are located on the right directly after the third creek ford...

Just a reminder, our Pilot Mtn. Campout starts Saturday morning...   I will be at the campsite by 10am...    You will need to bring a bag lunch for Saturday lunch, a sleeping bag, tent, tarp to lay down on the ground, appropriate clothing, a rain poncho just in case, chair, and your favorite 2 liter drink...   If you want to fish, you must have appropriate licenses with you.
